China's first deep-UV LED production line with a wavelength of 280 nm was recently built and put into operation at Qingdao Jiesheng Electric Co., Ltd., marking a qualitative leap in the development level of China's semiconductor lighting industry. It is reported that this is the first commercialization of deep ultraviolet LEDs in China.
The deep ultraviolet LED product has a luminous intensity of more than 2.0 milliwatts and an external quantum efficiency of more than 2.5% at a continuous current of 20 milliamperes. The deep ultraviolet LED module manufactured using it has a calibrated output power of more than 32 milliwatts.
